Thessaly, Pharsalos AR Drachm (18mm. 5,65 g.). Late 5th-mid 4th century BC. signed by the engraver Telephantos. Helmeted head of Athena to right; small TH behind. Rev. Warrior on horse rearing to right, wearing petasos and chlamys, holding lagobolon over shoulder; Φ-[A]-P-Σ (partly retrograde) around; all within slightly concave field. BCD Thessaly II 639 = Lavva 89a; HGC 4, 624. Some insignificant scratches, otherwise about good very fine.
