★ Beautiful classical portrait of Bald & Bearded Satyr ★
Islands off Thrace, Thasos. Circa 412-404 BC. AR Tritartemorion (7,8 mm. 0,41 g). Bald and bearded head of satyr to right. Rev. ΘΑΣ Two dolphins, one above the other, swimming left and right; all within shallow incuse. HGC 6, 340. Le Rider, Thasiennes 12. SNG Cop 1033-1034. Lightly toned. Good Very fine. With a lovely classical portrait of the satyr incredibly well centered giving a closer look (comparing to the staters or drachms where the satyr holdyng the protesting nymph) to the portrait from the classical period. About good very fine.
