L. Calpurnius Piso Frugi 61 BC. Rome. AR Denarius (17mm, 3.9 g.). Head of Apollo right, hair bound with fillet; CXX behind. Rev. Horseman galloping right, carrying palm branch tied with fillet, C PISO L FRV below. Crawford 408. RSC 24b. Small symbolic test punch shaped as a crescent on the neck, otherwise well struck with high relief, Good Very Fine. Ex Via Auktionen Wien.
