Cappadocia, Caesaraea-Eusebia. Nerva, 96-98 AD. AR Didrachm (21 mm, 6.8 g.), RY 4 = 98 AD. ΑΥΤΟΚΡΑΤ ΝЄΡΟΥΑϹ ΚΑΙϹΑΡ ϹЄΒΑϹΤΟϹ Laureate head of Nerva to right. Rev. ΥΠΑΤ [ΟΥ ΤЄΤΑΡΤΟΥ] Mount Argaios surmounted by statue of Sol-Helios, radiate, holding globe in his right hand and long scepter in his left. Ganschow 106a. RPC III 2973. Sydenham, Caesarea, 151. Slightly off centered reverse, otherwise Good Very Fine with a nice veristic portrait of the emperor with a ''beak'' nose which partially signs the portraitic style of his successor Trajan. Rare.
