★ Remarkable coin with Seleucid style ★
Kings of Thrace. Lysimachos, AR Tetradrachm (35mm, 17,1 g.). presumably Cyzicus mint. before 225 BC. Diademed, horned head of Alexander III right. BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΛYΣIMAXOY, Athena Nikephoros seated left, AE monogram in inner left field below the hand of the goddess. Struck on a very broad flan, perfectly centered and with a lovely iridiscent toning. Extremely Fine. Exceedingly Rare and apparently unpublished with this monogram, very similar stylistically to CNG Electronic Auction 511, lot 111. Remarkable coin with very unusual portrait which is not typical for Lysimachos, stylistically looks identical to Seleucid series.
