Macedon, Akanthos AR Diobol (16mm, 0,94 g.). Circa 430-390 BC. Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square; A-K-A-N in quadrants. SNG ANS 50; SNG Ashmolean 2218; HGC 3.1, 393. A pleasing, toned coin with a lovely portrait of Athena and very detailed helmet with entire crested element. Rare.
