ECC.za GEN MARIO VERCELLINO GLI UFFICIALI DELLA DIV.CAGLIARI', with fasces and two marks. On the reverse, a beautiful representation of a coat of arms under a crown held by two sirens. 70 g. Large gilded bronze medal marked 'ECOLE SUPERIEURE DE GUERRE’, in the centre ‘MAI 1935 AU GENERAL VERCELLINO'. On the reverse side 'CRESCENTI AD MILITIAE DECUS. NOBILITATI', in the exergue 'PALAESTRA EX AEDIFICCATA MDCCLXVIIII'. On the cut 'BRONZE' and a mark. Together with a small bronze medal dedicated to the general and various ribbons. This lot belonged to Mario Vercellino, Army General and Aide-de-Camp to Victor Emmanuel III of Savoy (1941-1942). He was commander of the 9th and 4th armies.
