Kings of Macedon. Alexander III "the Great". AR, Drachm. 4.08 g. 18.00 mm. 336-323 BC. Early posthumous issue of Lampsakos, ca. 323-317 BC.
Obv.: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress.
Rev.: AΛEΞANΔPOY. Zeus Aëtophoros seated left on backless throne, right leg drawn back, feet suspended, eagle in outstretched right hand, grounded scepter in left; buckle left in left field, crescent above A below throne.
