PB Byzantine seal of Ioannes (AD 8th-9th centuries).
Obv: Cruciform invocative monogram: Θεοτόκε βοήθει. A star in each quarter. Wreath border.
Rev: Inscription of four lines beginning with a cross: Ἰωάννῃ δούλῳ Χ(ριστο)ῦ. Wreath border.
Translation: Theotokos help John, servant of Christ.
