PB seal of Alexios Komnenos, protoproedros (1074–1078)
Obv: St. Demetrios standing, holding a spear in his right hand, a shield in his left. Inscription: ὁ ἅ(γιος) Δημήτριος. Border of pellets.
Rev: Inscription of six lines: Κ(ύρι)ε βο[ήθει] Ἀλε[ξίῳ] πρω[το]προέδρῳ τῷ Κομνηνῷ. Border of pellets.
Translation: Lord, help Alexios Komnenos, protoproedros.

This is the seal of the future emperor Alexios I Komnenos, used during his early stages of his carrier. Alexios was promoted to be a protoproedros in 1074.
