Description

Persia, Achaemenid Empire. AR, Siglos. 5.49 g. - 16.71 mm. Time of Darios I to Xerxes II. circa 485-420 BC. Sardes. Type IIIb.
Obv.: Persian king moving to right, crowned, wearing kidaris and kandys and in the running-kneeling position, with quiver over his shoulder, holding transverse spear in his right hand and bow in his left.
Rev.: Irregular oblong incuse punch.
