Andronicus II Palaeologus and Michael IX, AD 1282-1328. AV, Hyperpyron. 3.87 g. 23.89 mm. Constantinople.
Obv: Virgin orans within city walls connecting four groups of towers. sigla: C Π | N.
Rev: ANΔNIK-MXΛΔEN. Christ standing at center blessing Michael IX on right, and Andronicus II on left, both bearded. Traces of IC̅ XC̅ in left and right fields above emperors’ heads.
