Ionia (Uncertain mint) Electrum Hecte (c.650-600 BC) - NGC Ch F
Strike: 4/5, Surface: 4/5. Lydo-Milesian standard. Obv.: Globular surface with an uncertain pattern (bee viewed from above?) Rev.: Two incuse squares, separated by low convex vertical line. cf. Linzalone 1101; cf. Karwiese II.1, Type 2, 3. One of the earliest coins of the western world.
