Russia Rouble 1731 - Anna Ioannovna (1730-1740) - NGC AU DETAILS
Cleaned, but still very attractive coin. Charming exemplar, sharply detailed and adorned with a thick, gray patina, indicative of its careful preservation and provenance from an old collection. Bitkin 39 (similar). This Rouble features a one-year type portrait known as the "Large Head". The portrait is distinguished by its high level of detail and stylistic quality, making it particularly noteworthy among collectors. In subsequent years, the quality of the portrait design diminished, and it remained relatively poor until 1736.
