A hand emerging from the clouds crowns him with a laurel wreath. Below the truncation: 1706 Inscription around: ЗА ВҌРНОСТЬ И МУЖЕСТВО (For loyalty and courage). This medal commemorates the Battle of Kalisz on 18 October 1706, where Russian and allied Polish forces achieved a decisive victory over the Swedish army during the Great Northern War.
