Western Roman Empire (Antioch mint) AV Solidus AD 364-367 – Valentinian I (AD 364-375) - NGC Ch VF
Strike: 5/5, Surface 2/5. Wavy flan. Brushed. Edge filing. Still attractive exemplar with good relief details and fine mint luster. Obv.: Rosette-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Valentinian I to right; “DN VALENTINI-ANVS PF AVG”. Rev.: Valentinian I in military dress standing facing, head right, labarum with cross on banner in right hand, Victory on globe in left; “RESTITVTOR REIPVBLICAE”, in exergue ANTГ* (3rd officina).
