Portuguese India (Diu). 20 Bazarucos 1765 – José I (1750-1777)
17.54g. 36mm. VF/F.KM# 36; Gomes#Jo.18.01.Tutenag (tutenague) is an alloy used for coins of low value, produced at Diu during the period 1765-1827. This alloy consists mostly of zinc (70-94%) with small inclusions of copper and others. It has the appearance of tin, and therefore often as such be defined in many catalogues.
