LOW COUNTRIES, Vlaanderen (Flanders). Lodewijk II van Male. 1346-1384. AV Gehelmde gouden leeuw (34mm, 5.32 g, 7h). Gand (Ghent) mint. LV DOVICVS DЄI GRΛ COm’ DnS : FLΛNDR IЄ, helmeted lion standing left before spired Gothic throne; FLΛnDRЄS below / + BЄnЄDICTVS QVI VЄnIT In nOmInЄ DOmInI, cross fleurée and feuillue; D’ in center; F L Λ n in quarters; all within tressure of 20 arcs.
