Lion standing left on ornate entablature, head facing, holding scimitar in right forepaw; behind, anthropomorphized rising sun; all within laurel-and-oak wreath / al-sultan muzafar al-din shah qajar in Persian in three lines; below, line flanked by stars and sanat 1317 in Persian; around, Persian legend citing bravery.
