CRETE, Kydonia. Circa 450-330 BC. AR Hemidrachm (14mm, 2.88 g, 6h). Land tortoise with segmented shell; A to right / Large square incuse with skew pattern, crescent in one segment. E.S.G. Robinson, “Pseudoaeginetica” in NC 1928, 8; Svoronos, Numismatique –; SNG Copenhagen 402; Boutin 159 var. (no crescent; same obv. die); Evans –; Traeger 213–4; Nomos 16, lot 112 (same dies).
