Description

PB Byzantine seal of Constantine, protospatharios and anagrapheus (10th-11th century).
Obv: Image of a saint offering a blessing; details indistinct. Illegible traces of an inscription on either side. Border of dots.
Rev: A patriarchal cross mounted on a base of three steps. On either side, an inscription of four lines: Κ(ύρι)ε β(οή)θ(ει) Κων(σταντίνῳ) (πρωτο)σπαθαρ(ίῳ) (καὶ) ἀνα[γ]ραφεῖ. Border of dots.
Translation: Lord, help Constantine, protospatharios and anagrapheus.
