Islamic. Anatolia & al-Jazira (Post-Seljuk). Artuqids (Mardin). HUSAM AL-DIN TIMURTASH, 1122-1152 AD / 516-547 AH. AE, Dirham. Without mint and date.
Obv: In central beaded circle diademed seleukid style bust right. His son's name is written on the countermark on his neck (Najm al-Din Alpi).
Rev: Al-Malik’ al-Alim al-Adil Husam Al-Din Timurtash bin il-Ghazi bin Artuq. Legend in three lines, inscription in Arabic naming his titles and his ancestors back three generations.
S&S Type 26.
Condition: VF.
Weight: 11.92 g.
Diameter: 30.20 mm.
