Description

HERACLIUS, HERACLIUS CONSTANTINE and HERACLONAS, 610-641 AD. AV, Solidus. Constantinople.
Obv: Herakleios stands at center with mustache and long beard. Beardless Herakleios Constantine stands at right. Heraklonas, also beardless, stands at left. Each wears chlamys and crown with cross, which often assumes the form of a trefoil. Each holds globus cruciger in right hand.
Rev: VICTORIA-AVGЧH / CONOB.
Cross potent on base and three steps. Monogram of Herakleios in left field, E in right field.
MIB 3:216, no. 53E
Condition: Good VF.
Weight: 4.49 g.
Diameter: 19.70 mm.
