CILICIA. Tarsos. Mazaios, satrap of Cilicia and Cappadocia. ( Circa 361/0-334 BC). AR Stater.
Obv: Baaltars seated to left on throne, his head and torso facing, holding sceptre in left hand, right hand holding grape bunch on vine and eagle above, Aramaic letters below; B'LTRZ in Aramaic to right.
Rev: Lion to left, attacking bull to left; Aramaic legend 'MZDI' (= Mazaios) above.
Casabonne Series 2, Group A; SNG BN 339.
Condition: Fine.
Weight: 10.97 g.
Diameter: 23.1 mm.
