Description
PB Byzantine lead seal. Theodore protovestiarios (7th-8th century).
Obv: Cruciform invocative monogram (type XIV): Χριστὲ βοήθει. Wreath border.
Rev: Inscription of four lines, a cross with leaf decorations above:
|ΘΕΟΔ|ΡΒ|ΕΣΤΙ|ΡΙ. Wreath border.
The only other known specimen, DO, BZS.1955.1.579 (From the same boulloterion).
Condition: VF.
Weight: 12.89 g.
Diameter: 26 mm.
