PB Byzantine lead seal. Seal of John protospatharios and protasekretis (10th century)
Obv: A patriarchal cross mounted on a base of three steps. Within concentric circles of dots, a circular inscription along the circumference: ΚΕΟΗΘΕΙΤΣΔΟΥΛ : Κ(ύρι)ε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ.
Rev: Inscription of four lines, fleurons above and below. |ΙΑΝΝΗΑΣΠΑ|ΘΑΑΣΗ|ΚΡΗΤ| : Ἰωάννῃ (πρωτο)σπαθ(αρίῳ) (καὶ) (πρωτ)ασηκρῆτ(ις). Border of dots.
