ANDRONICUS II with MICHAEL IX (1295-1320 AD). GOLD Overstruck Hyperpyron, Constantinople.
Obv: Half-length figure of the Virgin Mary, orans, within city wall of four towers.
Rev: IC - XC.
Andronicus, on the left, and Michael, on the right side, kneeling on either side of Christ standing facing and crowning both emperors.
Sear 2396; PCPC Sigla 191.
Condition: Good very fine.
Weight: 3.91 g.
Diameter: 22 mm.
