A Grand Tour transparent glass cast, drawn from an intaglio. Discobolus. The cast is drawn from a carnelian intaglio, British Museum, coll. Cracherode (1799), mentioned in the Paoletti repertoire as "Un giuocatore al Disco". The specimen, finely detailed, has been polished (the engraved figure) and mounted in a ring at that time; afterwards it was unmounted. Light wear marks.
