The Carthaginians in the Mediterranean, Sicily, Akragas, Quarter Shekel or Drachm struck during the Second Punic War; ca. 214-210 BC; AR (g 3,03; mm 17; h 2); Wreathed male head (Triptolemos ?) r., Rv. Horse galloping r.; below, Punic legend; all within laurel wreath. HGC 2, 172; SNG ANS 1233.
Rare. Old cabinet tone; slight filings on edge and some marks; otherwise about extremely fine.
