Southern Apulia, Tarentum, Nomos, ca. 272-240 BC; AR (g 6,36; mm 19; h 9); Helmeted warrior on horseback r., holding lance and shield; I-HPAK/ΛHTOΣ in two lines below; Rv. TAP[AΣ], Phalanthos astride dolphin l., holding flower and cornucopia; monogram and thymiaterion to r. Vlasto 890-2; HNItaly 1037. Cabinet tone with lovely iridescent sparkles, extremely fine.
