Royal Order of the Redeemer (King Otto), Grand Commander’s set comprising Grand Commander’s Badge (gold) and Grand Commander’s Star (embroidered type), 1st Type, Star reverse backing in ivory-coloured paper with maker’s label of Heinrich Vogel and Alckens, Munich. Neck Badge, 39.72g, 56.30mm x 86.00mm and Star, 8.35g, 56.20mm x 56.80mm (Romanoff 3 and 4 respectively).

Extremely fine (2) with chip on enamel, minor edge knock on obverse and old marks visible under magnification. Very rare, especially the embroided star. A very high ranking order which was awarded to distinguished individuals amongst them Lord Byron.
