This uncommon tetradrachm, too, belongs to the “decennalia” of Maximian (294-295 AD) showing on the reverse an iconic representation, unusual in the Alexandrian context, of the youthful bust of Heracles beardless and clad in the lion skin. The engraving is of appreciated quality considering the period of artistic decay. A wonderful coin and rare in this conservation.
