Tyche reclining on lectisternium left holding rudder; L/KA in field. Dattari-Savio 7807 & Suppl. Pl. 12, 135 (this coin). Emmett 1063. RPC III, 6220.4 (this coin). BMC 731. Nice brown-green patina. Very Fine. Rare.

Ex Giovanni Dattari Collection, Il Cairo, lot 7807. Ex Naville Numismatics Ltd. 48, 07.04.2019, lot 259.

The obverse of this rare drachm, excellently centred and preserved, depicts a portrait of Hadrian, consistent with the hand of the master engraver of Hadrian's nude head (cf. NN. 346-347 of this collection), who sometimes engraved on the head also a radiate crown, but his "signature" is evident both from the unmistakable style of his hair and his left-facing face, which is one constant feature of his.
