KINGS OF MACEDON. Antigonos I Monophthalmos, as Strategos of Asia, 320-306/5 BC. Drachm (Silver, 27.58 mm, 4.26 g). Struck in the name and type of Alexander III. Abydos, circa 310-301 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin. Rev. AΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ, Zeus Aëtophoros seated left on throne, holding eagle and sceptre; MI monogram in left field; Z below throne. Price 1528. Müller 1618. SNG Copenhagen 994. Toned. Minor marks. Very Fine.
