KINGS OF PARTHIA. Vologases III, circa 105-147. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28.61 mm, 9.05 g) Seleukeia on the Tigris, dated SE 435 (= 123-124). Diademed and draped bust of Vologases to left, wearing long beard and tiara decorated with hooks, B to right, behind his neck. Rev. ΒΑ[ΙΛΕ[ωΣ] ΒΑ[ΙΛΕ[ωΝ] (Σ as [ ) in two lines above (beginning letters by double struck), EΛΥ (date) below as third line, [ ΑΡ[ΑΧΟΥ ΟΛAΓΑ[ΟΥ ] in two lines vertical to right, [ΔI]KAI[OY] below, under the ground line, ΕΠΙΦΑΝΟΥ[ [ ] [Φ]ΙΛΕΛΛΗΝ[Ο[ ] in two lines vertical to left. Vologases seated left on throne in regal dress, the left leg forward, the left leg bent, extending the right hand to receive a wreath with long ribbons from Tyche draped and wearing mural crown, standing in front of him to left, holding scepter in the left hand, month name in exergue (out of flan).
