Gordian III (238-244). AE Sestertius, Rome mint, 244 AD. Obv. IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right. Rev. SECVRITAS PERPETVA S C. Securitas, draped, standing left with legs cross, leaning left arm on column, and holding sceptre in right hand. RIC IV 336. AE. 18.50 g. 29.00 mm. Lovely green patina. Good VF.
