Continental Greece. Attica, Athens. Bronze core of a fourrée Tetradrachm, contemporary imitation, c. 400-353 BC. D/ Helmeted head of Athena right, with profile eye. R/ Owl standing right, head facing; olive sprig and crescent behind, AΘE before; all within incuse square. For prototype, cf. Kroll 15 a-b and cf. Svoronos, Monnaies, pl. 19, 13-15 and 17-22. AE. g. 15.10 mm. 21.00 Dark green patina. A very interesting example. VF.
