Description
Greek Italy. Etruria, Volaterrae. AE Cast Sextans, 3rd century BC. Obv. Janiform head beardless (Culsans), wearing pointed cap. Rev. FELA-ODI retrograde (Etruscan VELATHRI) around club and two pellets. Vecchi ICC 140; HN Italy 109f. AE. 35.04 g. 36 mm. R. Very heavy for the issue and rare. Enchanting deep green patina, better in hand. Deposits on obverse. VF/Good VF.
