Greek Italy. Samnium, Southern Latium and Northern Campania, Compulteria. AE 19.5 mm, 265-240 BC. Obv. 'kumpulterum' in Oscan. Laureate head of Apollo left. Rev. Man-headed bull right; above, Nike flying right and crowning bull; in exergue, [S]VESAN[O]. Cf. HN Italy 437; Cf. HGC 1 409. AE. 5.12 g. 19.50 mm. RRR. Extremely rare and interesting. About VF. Ex Roma Numismatics, the Anders Collection part II, 107. This coin is apparently unpublished in the standard references with this obverse and reverse legend.
