Commodus (177-192). AE Sestertius. British Victory issue, 185 AD. Obv. M COMMODVS A[NTON] AVG PIVS BRIT. Laureate head right. Rev. Victory seated right on pile of arms, inscribing shield set on knee with long stylus; VICT BRIT in exergue. RIC III 452; C. 946. AE. 20.24 g. 30.00 mm. R. Rare and fascinating issue. Nice dark patina with green hues. VF/Good VF.
