Maximian (286-310). BI Antoninianus, Lugdunum mint. Obv. IMP C VAL MAXIMIANVS PF AVG. Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right. Rev. VIRTUS AVGG. Hercules standing front, head to right, placing his right hand on his hip and resting his left on club set on rock; lion skin draped over his left arm; in field to left, D. RIC V 437; C. 565. BI. 3.51 g. 23.50 mm. Lovely dark patina, well centred and struck on a broad flan. Minor deposits. Good VF.
