C. Vibius C. f. Pansa Caetronianus. AR Denarius, 48 BC. Obv. Mask of bearded Pan right; behind, pedum; below, PANSA. Rev. C. VIBIVS C.F. C.N. - IOVIS AXVR. Jupiter, laureate, seated left, holding patera and sceptre. Cr. 449/1b; B. 18. AR. 3.75 g. 17.50 mm. An outstanding example, from masterly engraved dies, perfectly centred and unusually complete. Brilliant, with underkying luster and virtually as struck. Good VF.
