Alexius III Angelus Comnenus (1195-1203). BI Aspron Trachy, Constantinople mint, 1195-1197. Obv. Bust of Christ facing, beardless, wearing nimbus cruciger. Rev. Emperor and St. Constantine standing facing, holding each labarum in outer hand and together globus cruciger between them. D.O. 3; Sear 2012. BI. 3.71 g. 27.00 mm. Nice warm brown patina. VF.
