Diocletian (284-305 AD). AR Argenteus. Contemporary imitation. Uncertain mint. Struck circa AD 295-297 or later. Obv. Laureate head right. Rev. The four tetrarchs sacrificing over tripod before city enclosure with six turrets; in exergue, letter. For prototype: cf. RIC VI 40a; cf. Jeločnik 49. AR. 2.51 g. 18.00 mm. Brilliant and lightly toned, warm hues. Good VF.
