Nero (54-68). AR Denarius, Rome mint, struck c. 65-66 AD. Obv. NERO C[AESAR] AVGVSTVS. Laureate head right. Rev. VESTA. Hexastyle temple faςade; within, Vesta seated left on throne, holding patera and long sceptre. RIC I (2nd ed.) 62. AR. 3.15 g. 16.50 mm. R. Rare, sound metal. Brilliant old cabinet tone. Good VF.
