M. Cato. AR Denarius, 89 BC. Obv. Diademed and draped female bust right; behind, ROMA; below neck truncation, M. CATO. Rev. Victory seated right, holding patera and palm-branch; in exergue, VICTRIX. Cr. 343/1b; B. (Porcia) 5. AR. 3.85 g. 19.00 mm. Great metal. An outstanding example, unusually complete, lustrous and virtually as struck. About FDC.
