Description

Constantius I Chlorus (305-306). AE Follis, Aquileia mint. Struck 307-310 AD. Obv. DIVO CONSTANTIO AVG. Veiled bust right. Rev. MEMORIA DIVI CONSTANTI. Eagle, with wings spread, standing facing on square, two-doored altar enclosure; in exergue, AQP. RIC VI -(cf 127: DIVO CONSTANTIO PIO. AE. 6.34 g. 25.00 mm. RR. Very rare. A superb example, with an impressive portrait. Lovely mottled deep olive green patina, with lighter hues. Very gently smoothed, otherwise. EF.
