Antoninus Pius (138-161). AR Denarius, Rome mint. Obv. ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P TR P COS III. Bare head right. Rev. GENIVS POP ROMANI. Genius standing facing, head right, holding sceptre and cornucopiae. RIC III 70. AR. 3.50 g. 19.00 mm. A superb example, sharply struck, from masterly engraved dies. Lovely old cabinet tone. EF.
