Sicily. Syracuse. Hieron II (274-215 BC). AE 26.5 mm. c. 230-215 BC. Obv. Diademed head left. Rev. Horseman riding right, holding spear; below, AP monogram; in exergue, IERΩNOΣ. HGC 2 1548; CNS II 195. AE. 17.79 g. 26.50 mm. A very attractive example, from masterly engraved dies. Lovely dark green brown patina. About EF.
