Julia Domna, wife of Septimius Severus (died 217 AD). AR Denarius, 207-211 AD. Obv. IVLIA AVGVSTA, draped bust right. Rev. FORTVNAE FELICI, Fortuna standing left, holding cornucopiae and resting left elbow on rudder. RIC IV (Sept. Sev.) 552. AR. 3.28 g. 20.00 mm. An outstanding example, virtually as struck. Delicate, expressive portrait and enchanting iridescent tone. Hairline flan crack and minor uncleaned green deposits on obverse, otherwise about FDC.
